Nanoose Bay is located on the central east coast of Vancouver Island.

The Nanoose Fire Protection District covers approximately 36 sq miles which is made up of forest land and a unique wild land / urban interface.

The Nanoose Volunteer Fire Department is made up of dedicated men and women from all walks of life. We responded to ~200 calls a year that consist of:

• Medical Emergencies
• Motor Vehicle Incidents
• Structure Fires
• Chimney Fires
• Grass and Bush Fires
• Vehicle Heavy Equipment and Boat Fires
• Flammable and Combustible Fuel Leaks
• Compressed Gas Leaks
• Dangerous Goods Spills.
